Polar ziggurat
The terraforming and habitation complexes at the North and South poles of Torei are part of vast and ancient terraced pyramids known as ziggurats (sometimes "zigs" for short). The AIs built these structures over the millennia to shield the machinery and people of the polar complexes.
The boundaries of Mazos and Dahom are not fully defined, but when people speak of them they tend to refer to the ziggurat complexes and the security perimeter immediately around them.
