Torei's star is one of only a handful in a tiny Wikipedia:Globular cluster between Andromeda and the Milky Way. It is not distance that makes it so difficult to reach, but rather its awkward and isolated position.

In a universe where travel between star systems is routine, and where travel between galaxies is merely inconvenient, the inability for people to make casual trips to Torei is part of its appeal. The infrastructure between densely populated habitations permits easy travel, but without a heavy transit network, Torei's star takes dedication to reach.
